The Greater Louisville United Labor, Inc. will host a Labor Day Picnic, Concert & Car Show on Monday, September 1st, 2008. JCTA has purchased tickets and is offering them free of charge to JCTA members on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact Sheila Partee ASAP at the JCTA office, 454-3400, to request your free tickets. Sorry, but only two (2) free tickets per member!
Members receiving tickets MUST pick them up at the JCTA office no later than Thursday, August 28th at 5:00 pm. Additional tickets can be purchased in advance from IBEW 369, 4315 Preston Highway or Teamsters Local 89, 3818 Taylor Blvd. Tickets can also be purchased at the Zoo on Labor Day. Children aged three (3) and under are free.

1st Annual JCTA Cornhole Tournament!
JCTA is sponsoring a cornhole tournament on Saturday, September 20th at Cox Park from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The registration fee is $20 per team if you register by Friday, September 5th. You can register on-site the day of the event for $25 (registration starts at 9:30 am.) Half the money raised will go to the winners; the other half will go to Home of the Innocents. The extra $5 for late registrations will all go to Home of the Innocents. To register, download and fill out the form, then return it to JCTA by fax, mail, or email it to Chanda Swift at cswift@jcta.org. The tournament is open to JCTA members and their immediate family members. (Immediate family members are defined as parents, siblings, spouses, and children.) Lunch and beverages will be provided.
Instructions for play can also be found here and will be available during game day. If you do not want to play, but would like to volunteer to help with registration or judging, please contact Chanda.
