Barnes and Noble Supports the Flood Recovery

During the month of September, patrons of both Barnes & Noble Booksellers locations in Louisville will be able to purchase select books identified by LFPL Collection Services for donation to the library. Plus, on the weekends of September 18-20 & 25-27, 15% of all sales at Barnes & Noble will be donated to the Library Foundation's Flood Recovery Fund.

We have had countless offers of book donations and offers to host book drives. As much as we appreciate them, we have to turn them down because we don’t have a location or the manpower to sort donated books, and we only want books we know LFPL needs. The reason the Barnes & Noble book drive works for us is because we’re getting only books we know the library can use, and because B & N is willing to store those books for us until we need them.
