SBDMs need your help

Speaker Stumbo: “I am not a fan personally of site-based management councils. I don’t believe they work and I’ve said this many times before. You are on the front lines of education. You [superintendent] are the person on the front line of education and the person who has the finger pointed at when things are bad and applause when things are good. Given that, you ought to have the authority to run your systems the way you think they ought to be run.
“Obviously, there are those naysayers who say, ‘It didn’t work before.’ But that was a different day. We’ve come a long, long way, particularly in rural Kentucky, about how we look at education. We put more of a value on education. I think you are going to put everything on the table. It’s time that we have an open debate. I think we need to change it and I think we are going to change it.”

Contact Representative Greg Stumbo and urge him to support SBDMs.
