Sick Leave Bank Open Enrollment
   
 

Sick Leave Bank Open Enrollment for All Certified JCPS teachers is now open. Open enrollment will be available from August 20st to September 14th.

The enrollment form can be filled out and submitted online using the link below.

This is open enrollment for all certified members and non-members of JCTA.

When you donate one of your sick days to the Sick Leave Bank, you will become a member of the SLB from September 1, 2018 to September 1, 2020!

Ethics for Educators

Ethics for Educators: 3 hours PD credit; dinner provided. JCTA’s Ethics Training will provide a thorough understanding of the Code of Ethics for Kentucky Certified Personnel.  The session will also cover typical issues investigated by the Education Professional Standards Board, including confidentiality, unprofessional conduct, falsifying documents, supervision of students, and sexual misconduct.  Participants will also learn and review social media dos and don’ts. Wills, Trusts, and Nursing Home Asset Protection Seminar
November 8, 2017
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Presented by Gersh Law Offices, this workshop will cover a number of issues, including how to:

·         Understand the advantages and disadvantages of Wills and Living Trusts

·         Maintain your privacy and protect your estate against a living probate if you become disabled

·         Plan before you need Long Term Care

·         Realize why putting property in children’s names may be a mistake

·         Protect your children’s inheritance from their future ex-spouses, lawsuits, and other claims

·         Preserve your estate for your children if your surviving spouse gets remarried

·         Understand “What is Probate?”

·         Learn about Medicaid eligibility to pay for nursing home expenses which can average $7,200 monthly

·         Provide for children and grandchildren with special needs.

Snacks will be provided.  No PD Credit offered.
