My name is Al Kirkpatrick and I am contacting you on behalf of the Lighthouse Community Center located in the Newburg area at 5312 Old Shepherdsville Road.

We have just been notified that we are a recipient of a Grant through the Ky. Department of Education referred to as a 21st Century Grant. This is in partnership with the JCPS where we are to provide after-school and summer programs to "at risk" children from targeted schools. We will start with children from Rangeland Elementary, Price Elementary and Newburg Middle School.

We will be looking for a full-time Coordinator to implement the requirements of this Grant (Programs, reporting etc.) and think a retired school teacher/administrator, preferably from that area, would be well qualified.

Melissa Barman from JCPS suggested I contact you to see if you have a way of advertising this type of opportunity for your retired school teachers. We are still working on a Position Description, but the job will pay $30,000/yr.
